How to apply beard oil

We would like to thank everyone that connected with us tonight and picked up some beard oil. Just in case you missed them, here are few tips for how to apply beard oil.

First, you can apply beard oil at any time, but it will be most effective at softening your beard right after you step out of the shower. Give your beard a towel dry and then apply.

When you pop the cap, you'll notice that that our beard oil is equipped with a "Euro" dropper bottle insert. This little beauty has two main functions. First, it prevents you from dumping your beard oil all over the counter if (when) you knock it over. Second, it allows you to dispense your beard oil drop-wise so that you can control the amount of oil that you use, which is fantastic to ensure you're consistently applying your beard oil for a repeatedly well groomed appearance.

We find that completely inverting the bottle is the fastest way to allow air inside and force the beard oil out. You will see the air bubbles flowing into the stem inside the bottle. Each bubble in will be about one drop out, but it might take a second or two for the oil to start dripping the first time you use it.

Check out this video for a visual explanation of using a Euro dropper bottle. https://youtu.be/rRvq6UrOmPU?t=30s

Most of you will only need about 4-5 drops of beard oil at a time to start. If you have a longer beard or thicker hair, it will take a few more drops. Experiment with it until you find what works best for you.

Drip the beard oil into your hands, rub them together, and then massage the oil evenly into your beard and skin. If you are using one of our scented oils, you can now indulge in the fragrance, and let the character of each scent overtake you. If you are using Chief, our fragrance free oil, then you will be pleasantly surprised with how charming the natural aroma of the base oil is, and also appreciate how quickly that subtle aroma fades away.

Any beard oil remaining on your hands works great at softening and moisturizing your hair and scalp too. Just massage it in. If your beard is a little longer, then this is the time to comb through it to help evenly distribute the oil. We like to run the teeth of the comb all the way down to our skin to help the oil coat each hair from top to bottom.

Style your beard to your liking and just let the oil absorb into it. You're beard will feel moisturized and soft all day. It will look healthy, have great shine, less itch, and will probably catch a few extra complements along the way. You'll feel confident and will look great. That's just how it works.

We would love to know how your experience goes and we look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks again,

Redbeard Grooming Co.

One thing that we have found about having a long beard is that you tend to feel a bit of pressure to keep it long.  It becomes such a staple for your look, that you (and others) begin to associate your beard length with your personality.  This can prevent you from being a bit more creative and experimenting with and evolving your look, which is often one of the reasons that you started growing a beard to begin with.  We will talk more about styles and techniques for trimming in upcoming posts, but for now, we’re going to focus a bit more on some advice if you’re thinking of going from a long beard to a short beard.
